Following his captivating session at CommsCon19, Stuart White, head of media relations at Thames Water returns to Cision to share the story and results of the successful media campaign surrounding a fatberg found in London sewers.

The news stories centred around the 130-tonne Whitechapel Road fatberg, reached more than 150 countries, including the United States, Australia and Germany. It captured imaginations, shocked and disgusted audiences, and got people everywhere talking about what happens next to their waste.

To this day, Thames Water continue their mission to educate the public, especially in times of a crisis. With a pandemic on our hands and a shortage in loo roll, Stuart will talk about the comms and guidance given in preventing the birth of yet another fatberg.
